Let’s face it, ladies. As much as we hated looking like the “old lady who swallowed a horse”, it was the easy part. Men, as complicated as it was to snuggle our “swallowed-horse” bellies, deal with our emotions and learn to compliment without us overreacting, it was merely the beginning of your teachable moments.
Our growth as parents extends far beyond the nursery preparation and the physical act of bringing children into the world. Now, just to be clear, this is not a self-help article.
There is no simple formula you can plug into your life to change your attitude toward parenting.
Raising children does not make you a better person. However, if you are willing to evaluate yourself and take action, raising children can provide opportunities for personal growth.
